Banjo

I have a technique I employ frequently known as BANJo. It’s an acronym that stands for Bang A Nasty Job off. You see, things are rarely as bad as they seem. over the years I have witnessed so many team members putting off phoning a customer or supplier to inform them of bad news. I have watched countless times people avoiding dealing with sensitive issues with their colleagues. But the longer you leave things to fester, the bigger the issue becomes.

Plus, if you leave all of the more difficult tasks until the end of the day, you will spend the vast majority of it worrying and not performing at the top of your game. I always tell managers, as soon as you arrive in the morning, see if there are any tasks that you need to BANJo and do these first.

Conclusion:

Each day, do the difficult and unpleasant things first. Learn to BANJO!
